Highland History, Rekindled
Where ancient stone walls and roaring fires make the Highlands feel like home.
Steeped in four centuries of Highland history, Foyers Lodge is a rare find on the banks of Loch Ness — a beautifully refurbished 1600s lodge that manages to feel both gloriously ancient and thoroughly indulgent. Eight individually styled rooms strike a confident balance between heritage character and contemporary comfort, while roaring fires and cosy snugs invite you to sink in and stay a little longer than planned. This is the kind of place that makes a weekend feel like a proper escape.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, the lodge's sweeping views across the surrounding landscape are reason enough to linger over a slow morning. Couples in particular will find it irresistible — there's a romance to these stone walls and flickering flames that no purpose-built hotel can quite replicate. For those seeking a little more independence, a self-catering apartment offers the same atmospheric charm with the freedom to set your own pace.
Foyers Lodge sits in the sweet spot between adventure and retreat. By day, the mysteries of Loch Ness beckon from your doorstep; by night, the warmth of the lodge draws you back with quiet authority. Whether you're chasing Highland legends or simply craving the restorative power of wild scenery and an open fire, this storied retreat delivers with considerable style.

What They Say
“This isn’t just another hotel it’s an experience. The moment you walk into the building you feel right at home and met with the most incredible view of Loch Ness you could imagine. The hospitality is second to none as you can tell Phil and Anna have poured their hearts into every aspect of your stay. Incredible dinners and breakfast, the bar and sitting area give you a destination home that leans right into its Scottish roots. Phil and Anna are what truly sets it apart and left a lasting impression. We will be back!”
“We stay in Room 4, and it was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable, the room was beautifully decorated, and we had a beautiful view of the lake. But the real show stopper was actually the bathroom! It was huge with such beautiful light! I know it's kind of odd to go on about your bathroom, but it was honestly one of the nicest places I've had the pleasure of showering. Dinner on site is also really nice. Our favorite items were the baked brie, the rarebit, the venison, and the steak. And on a few nights we wandered over to the bar after. There's always a fire going, and it's lovely chatting with the other guests. If you're lucky, you will also get to meet the owners' cat, Oliver. And if you're really lucky, you will get to see Oliver in his bow tie! He's so dapper!”
“We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% recommend. I would even say you should go out of your way to stay at Foyers Lodge. the service was exceptional, food delicious (especially the dinner), the rooms were clean, and the location and nearby walks were a dream! it was perfect! Tips for other travellers: eat dinner at Foyers Lodge. best around, and have tea and cake and the cameron's tea room. Also, love the walks near foyer's falls.”
“One word for Foyers Lodge - exceptional. From the start of our stay to when we left. Enchanting views of Loch Ness deep in the highlands. Would 100% recommend, staff could not do enough. Will be returning.”
“Our evening at the Foyers Lodge was amazing. The views of the hotel over seeing Loch Ness and only miles away from local castles for sight seeing. The remote location makes the hotels quiet for romantic stays. The dinner menu blew me away with, I would say, Michelin grade dishes from scallop appetizers, to lamb entrees. The interior of the hotel is one of a kind with the special patterns and antique chests. I love that they supply blankets and pillows for you to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of bubbly. Would highly recommend for a unique stay for Loch Ness.”
