Norfolk Coast
Nordic Soul, Norfolk Shore
Where Scandinavian stillness meets the wild beauty of the North Norfolk coast.
Tucked into the woodland fringes of the North Norfolk coast, Blackwood Norfolk is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever bothered with a flight. This Scandi-style homestay wears its minimalism with quiet confidence — clean lines, pale timbers, and those sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows that dissolve the boundary between inside and out. The picturesque garden unfolds like a living painting beyond the glass, while the surrounding woodland wraps the whole property in a cocoon of green calm. It is, in the truest sense, a home away from home — just a significantly more beautiful one.
Moments from the beach on the North Norfolk coast, Blackwood occupies that rare sweet spot between seclusion and accessibility. Spend mornings padding across cool floors with coffee in hand, light flooding through the large-scale windows as birdsong does the rest. Afternoons belong to the garden, or to the wide, wind-swept shoreline just beyond the treeline. Evenings feel effortlessly convivial — this is exactly the sort of space that turns a group of friends or a family into the best version of themselves, gathered together with nowhere better to be.
At a mid-range price point, Blackwood punches well above its weight in atmosphere and aesthetic. There is nothing superfluous here, and that is precisely the point. For those who believe that a well-placed window and a thoughtfully designed room can be their own kind of luxury, this Norfolk retreat is not merely a staycation — it is a quiet revelation. Book it before someone else does.

What They Say
“This is an amazing place to stay! Every detail has been thought through to make it a memorable stay with family or friends. It was impeccably clean, which we have think is rare to find. The decor is exquisite, and the surrounding trees make it feel even more serene. We absolutely loved the recommendations in North Norfolk. There was so much to do for all ages, we ran out of time and will definitely be back. Thank you to Kate for creating a very special experience.”
“We had a fabulous 4 nights in Blackwood Lodge. Beautifully and stylishly decorated, very comfortable with a lovely outdoor area. Sarah was very welcoming and was super responsive to any questions we had. We made use of the fire pit and sat under the stars in the evenings. Blackwood is situated in beautiful woods, which are well worth walking through and which afford stunning views over to West Runton and the sea. Walking in the evening gives you a chance to spot Muntjac deer. North Norfolk should definitely be on your to do list. Great beaches, historic houses, lovely villages and lots of fabulous places to eat. We’d recommend Socius, Gunton Arms and The 2 Magpies Bakery.”
“We had an incredible stay at Blackwood, Norfolk in mid-late June 2025. From the moment that you arrive at the front gates, you immediately feel a sense of peace and tranquility. Upon pulling into the property, you're met with the most beautiful woodland setting with the house tucked away. There were a few very hot days during our stay, however, the house remained cool the whole time. No detail has been overlooked in the construction and design of the property. It's extremely luxurious, very well thought out, absolutely beautiful. We cannot wait to visit again and frankly would be at the front of the queue if it ever came up for sale!”
“Beautiful house with stunning interiors. Perfectly situated in North Norfolk within easy reach of Holt, Blakeney Point for the seals, many sandy beaches and a number of National Trust properties. The perfect place for a family escape by the seaside. The architecture and interiors have been beautifully executed to ensure you have everything you need from the super comfy beds to the fully equipped kitchen with delicious welcome hamper and gorgeous locally sourced bathroom amenities. Communication with Sarah the owner was fantastic! She ensured we had everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay and catered for everyone in our group including children. I’d highly recommend Blackwood and hope to be back in the future! Thanks for having us.”
“From the moment we arrived, it was clear Blackwood Norfolk is something special. We were welcomed by thoughtful touches like fresh cookies and artisan bread, which pretty much set the tone for our stay. The cabin is simply breathtaking— stylish but cozy. Every detail, from the soft lighting to the perfect decor, creates an atmosphere of comfort and elegance. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and with the skylights above you wake up under the treetops. The natural materials and calming surroundings make it impossible not to feel at home. The outdoor space is just as magical with a beautifully lit entry path, and the sleek black exterior that blends into nature. Even though we spent the weekend working on a photoshoot, the house made it feel effortless—like a retreat rather than a task. Sarah and Daniel have poured their hearts into this place, and it shows. They’ve created more than just a stay, and for us it was an experience and a feeling, we genuinely didn't want to leave. Absolutely perfect.”
