Country Splendour, Effortlessly Close
Where London's pace dissolves into polo lawns, spa rituals, and Michelin-starred magic.
Just 45 minutes from the chaos of London, Coworth Park exists in its own unhurried dimension — a 70-acre Berkshire estate where polo ponies graze at the meadow's edge and the only pressing decision is whether to book a treatment at the Kerstin Florian spa or linger over afternoon tea in the Drawing Room, watching the grounds shift through the seasons. As part of the Dorchester Collection, the care here is instinctive and exacting, the kind that makes you feel as though the entire estate has been arranged entirely for you.
For those who come to eat as much as to escape, Woven by Adam Smith — the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant — is reason enough to make the journey. Smith's menus are rooted in exceptional British ingredients and told with quiet theatricality; every plate feels like a considered act of storytelling. Beyond the fine dining, The Barn delivers a warmer, more relaxed register of five-star country cooking, while The Bar shakes cocktails inspired by the estate's proud polo heritage.
Coworth Park is the rare staycation that renders the word 'staycation' entirely inadequate. Whether you arrive for the riding, the restoration, or simply to do gloriously nothing in beautiful surroundings, you will leave having been genuinely transported. This is not a hotel that merely impresses — it is one that stays with you long after the Berkshire countryside has disappeared from your rear-view mirror.

What They Say
“We recently stayed for one night to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic stay. The staff couldn't have done more to make the stay special, they made a real effort to acknowledge the occasion, leaving a personalised balloon and gifts in the room which was a lovely touch. Every member of staff we encountered was professional, friendly and welcoming, we could not fault the service. The dinner at Woven was a wonderful experience, we felt it was a step above other One Star restaurants we have been to in the UK. The breakfast was also fantastic, one of the best we have had at this level of hotel, every item on the buffet and the a la carte dishes were high quality and delicious. The pastry chef is clearly very skilled. Yes it is expensive, but it is these points of detail where Coworth Park stands out and that make the difference to a stay and mean we now can't wait to return in the future. We stayed in Stable B in the room upstairs, in contrast to other reviews we did not have any issues with the Stable room, it was quiet and private. The only point we feel could be improved upon is the lack of hot tub/hydro pool in the spa which is unusual for a spa of this size. The outside patio would be the perfect spot for one! Otherwise, the spa is very nice.”
“We had an incredible stay at Coworth Park – Dorchester Collection. We spent five days there with our one-year-old, who had the greatest time in the kids club, the pool, and watching the polo games — such a unique experience for a little one. The accommodation was impeccable, the service genuinely outstanding, and every meal was memorable. It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and truly welcoming to families, but Coworth Park delivered on every front. Overall, a fantastic stay. We can’t wait to return.”
“I recently stayed at Coworth Park and overall it’s a truly lovely hotel — the grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is generally excellent. However, I was disappointed that I was served a coffee in a glass that was already cracked/smashed, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, I was still charged for it. It wasn’t handled in the way I would expect from a hotel of this standard, and I didn’t appreciate the experience. A wonderful place, but I hope they improve attention to detail and customer care in situations like this.”
“Such a wonderful stay. The team and service are impeccable! We stayed recently for a team getaway and everything was perfect! We met the events team and Georgina is amazing! Highly recommend for a night away or an epic event as you won’t be disappointed! X”
“This hotel is extremely expensive and has no consideration for guests’ circumstances. It’s impossible to get any kind of upgrade, fee waiver, or even a late checkout. They charge you for everything it feels like they would even charge you for breathing! The staff, however, are polite and respectful. Other than that, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.”
