Hawkstone Hall & Gardens in Weston-under-Redcastle, Shropshire — Historic Manor

Weston-under-Redcastle, Shropshire

Grandeur, Gilded and Gloriously Unhurried

Where 18th-century splendour meets the gentle rhythm of the Shropshire countryside.

There are country house hotels, and then there is Hawkstone Hall. Tucked into the undulating hills of Shropshire, this Grade I listed Georgian mansion is the kind of place that makes you catch your breath the moment you arrive — ceilings gilded in gold, sweeping staircases that beg to be descended slowly, and four-poster suites with roll-top baths that render all ambitions of sightseeing utterly redundant. Eighty-eight acres of pristine grounds stretch out beyond the windows, and a dedicated butler stands quietly ready to ensure that nothing — not a thing — is left to chance.

What They Say

Fabulous! We had our wedding at Hawkstone Hall on Saturday. We had an amazing time. The service, food, venue all absolutely flawless. We booked the majority of our supplies at the wedding fairs & all worked really well together. Emma was our wedding planner, she was brilliant. I can honestly say it was a stress free experience. Thank you to everyone involved & I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

What a lovely building and venue. Staff were very pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Food and drink were excellent with quality ingredients being used. Desserts were to die for! Customer service were excellent. Bed was super big and comfy, quality bedding and immaculate. Breakfast was very good, plenty and tasty, although my only criticism was it could have been a little warmer (food). I would recommend using China cups/saucers in the rooms as it would be more in keeping with the glandular of the building to replace the 'heavy' crockery that is currently being used. These two things are only attention to detail items, but the whole experience was very good and I would stay there again.

We stayed at Hawkstone Hall for two nights and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was top level every member of staff we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. During our wedding menu tasting, the team were incredibly accommodating and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was of the highest quality, making us feel completely looked after. We’ve genuinely found a gem in Hawkstone Hall and will definitely be returning for regular country breaks, even after our wedding day. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Hawkstone was immaculate. The building itself is beautifully decorated. We love the fact that the estate is huge with many activities to do. They provide free bikes and badminton. There’re a few llamas and donkeys on the premises. Gardens are well maintained and you can even see lots of fresh produce during summer.

We recently held our 3-day long Annual General Meeting at Hawkstone Hall, and Angela and her team made it truly unforgettable. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation. Their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail - combined with the stunning setting - created an atmosphere that genuinely impressed our entire group. Angela’s professionalism and kindness set the tone throughout, and it made all the difference. I can’t recommend Hawkstone Hall highly enough for any event or special occasion. An exceptional team at a spectacular venue. Thank you guys!
