What a gem of a hotel! We booked Rocpool after a long journey and couldn’t have been happier with the room. The bed was just what we needed after a long flight and the breakfast was delicious. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and were incredibly helpful. Highly recommend to any weary traveler!

Lovely boutique hotel within walking distance of Inverness Town centre. Car parking available, friendly attentive staff and excellent food. Good sized well equipped bedroom and bathroom. All in all super value for money and a very enjoyable stay.

This came highly-recommended to us, but didn't really live up to the hype. The service was quite inattentive at times, and they're trying to do too much with too few people (hotel, bar, and restaurant -- and we never saw more than 2 people working at a time). The room is extremely comfortable, but we had a quite large bug rooming with us. Lots of stairs. In hindsite, would have stayed elsewhere. Would not rate this worth the price; we thought we were splurging, but it didn't feel like it once we were there.

We stayed for one night in September, and while the property was not a disaster, it is not a 5-star property, and certainly not worth what we paid for it. We booked the extra decadent room package($736 for one night) and our very large room was in the basement(no windows). I would have been upset paying $250 for this hotel stay. While there was plenty of space, the carpet was worn, the walls were pretty beat up, the handle fell off of our door, and there was no air conditioner. We were told to open the french doors for cool air, but they led to a ground floor area next to the parking lot. Anyone could just walk in if we left them open. The service staff, while friendly, were completely undermanned and overwhelmed. It felt chaotic, and we had to wait 15 minutes just to check out. We were highly disappointed in the Rocpool Reserve Hotel.

Not sure how this hotel qualifies as a five-star property. Overall, the rooms felt dingy, and the carpet was worn and in need of replacement—hardwood floors would be a major improvement. The hotel’s aesthetic was visually unappealing, with clashing colors, mismatched artwork, and an overall confusing vibe. The photos online did not match the actual room we were given, which was a major disappointment. I will attempt to include photos for reference. We had looked forward to breakfast based on the reviews, but it left much to be desired. The manager was kind, but appeared disheveled and overwhelmed, seemingly juggling too many roles at once. Our bathroom had hair on the shower walls and in the drawers upon arrival. In the bedroom, there was a mess left behind by previous guests—clearly, housekeeping hadn’t bothered to check the drawers. Even after informing staff the next morning, it was not addressed and remained untouched for the rest of our stay. The placement of the air conditioner was particularly uncomfortable—it was mounted just two feet above the bed, blowing directly down on us. Since the room required cooling, there was no way to avoid it, which made it difficult to rest comfortably. Another important note: there is no elevator, which made carrying luggage up to our room quite inconvenient—especially for guests with mobility concerns or those expecting a more accommodating experience. When we went to check out, there was no one at the front desk, and we had to walk into the kitchen to find someone to return our keys after 30 minutes of searching for a staff member. We expected much more from this hotel, especially since we were here for our honeymoon. Very disappointing.
