“Myself and my partner stayed here a couple of weeks ago in the Rowton Suite and had dinner. Arrival was great, cosy lounging rooms offered comfortable seating for a mid afternoon coffee, with plenty of space between guests for privacy. When booking, I had stated that myself and my partner were vegan. I wanted to make sure that this was taken note of before heading to dinner. We were handed a vegan only menu which had been put together for us by Ralph (please give him a bonus). This little touch was above and beyond and it made the experience feel more exclusive. Fabulous work. The room was gorgeous. Lovely huge floor to ceiling curtains, fabulous wooden wall panels and a beautiful Jacobean decorative fireplace. The bathroom had a lovely stand alone bath, with taps in the middle, accomodating two. While being of a certain age which gave the charm of the place, we both commented on how well kept the fittings and furniture were. We thoroughly loved it and will definitely stay again. Thank you to all that make it the wonderful place it is.”

“Rowton Castle is one of those very rare and unique places. Operated as a wedding venue and a hotel when there is availability. We were lucky to find a window of opportunity to stay here for a night. We stayed in the room featured with a four poster bed. We bathed in the historical charm and beauty of the castle. The team that operate the hotel were so very friendly and attentive. They were so personable and gleefully sent us off through the grounds between the lakes to a walled orchard to help ourselves to as many apples and pears that we wanted before we left. The grounds as you can see in the photos are laid out and kept to a standard that rivals any of the top gardens in the uk. We dined in the characterful and stylish restaurant and the food was exemplary. Food that brings a smile to your face with each nuanced flavour teasing your taste buds. We were on our way to stay in Snowdonia and the castle was a great location to stopover on the journey. If you want to treat yourself and feel amazing in this wonderful and unique location, go for it. Would we return “without a doubt” we were wowed.”

“We got married here in October and all I can say is AMAZING! The place is beautiful, the food is gorgeous and the bedrooms are stunning, but the thing that really makes this place the place you should choose for your wedding is the staff. They simply cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. They help with everything, whether big or small. This starts from the moment you walk in for a tour before you've even chosen the castle as your venue right up until you leave the morning after getting married, and everything in between.
