What They Say
“Fantastic stay over Christmas. Sylvana is the consummate host, really lives and loves what she does and the team are also fantastic. A much more personalised and engaging stay than you would get in bigger hotels. And the food, as expected, was amazing. Thank you very much!”
“We had a wonderful Sunday lunch!! The loverly lady on the phone managed to squeeze us in early (thank you so much) and we are glad we got a chance to eat here.the beef was excellent perfectly cooked! The puddings were amazing and the staff were just attentive enough!brilliant and will be back again and will stay in a room next time.”
“We had an exceptional meal at the Ollerod this weekend. From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent in catering us putting together a table for 6 even though they were preparing for an event that evening. The restaurant area was cosy and very festive. We were served by a very lovely lady, who gave us the best service I have had in a while and was very attentive to our table. The food was amazing and the lunch menu was brilliant value for money. I had the Arrancino and Tagliata. I couldn’t get enough of it. I would come back here again in a heart beat and look forward to doing so.”
“Very cosy pub. The lady serving very kindly managed to squeeze us in before they closed the dining room and we are so glad they did. After a rude interaction at a pub up the road, the staff at the Ollerod were welcoming and lovely. Had the set menu which was a good price and we cannot fault the quality of the food - some of the best pub food ive had! Would definitely recommend!”
“A hidden gem and definitely worth visiting. The service at the Ollerod was excellent and the staff are its best asset. Archie in particular was very helpful, he was able to accommodate our special requests and surprised us with a lovely upgrade when we checked in. The food was excellent despite my special dietary requirement. Our only negative would be the bed in our room, as the mattress was not great. If we were staying for longer I'm pretty sure that they would have found a solution. The standard of cleanliness was also great. Overall we had a great stay and would have stayed longer if we had the time. The Ollerod is definitely worth a visit and an excellent base for Beaminster and surrounding villages.”
